irishcourtswatch.org is a non-partisan educational body, promoting transparency, accountability and integrity in the nation’s judicial system. Irish Courts Watch advocates high standards of ethics and morality within the judicial system demanded by the inherent sanctions of natural law inscribed in constitutional protections mandated for all citizens and seeks to ensure that judicial officials do not abuse the powers entrusted to them by the Irish people.
The motto of Irish Courts Watch is “Because no one is above the law”. To this end Irish Court Watch uses open court records, freedom of information laws and investigative tools to uncover misconduct by judicial officials and to hold to account any judicial official who engages in violation of a citizen’s constitutional protection. Irish Courts Watch seeks to ensure high ethical standards in the judiciary through monitoring activities and the use of the judicial ethics process and public transparency to hold violators to account.
Irish Courts Watch also pursues its educational effort through this website where many of the open records, documents, legal findings and other educational materials are available to the public and media. The intent of the effort is to provide the public with information about operations of the judiciary and increases the public awareness of misconduct and corruption found within the system.
